DCMS Select Committee

Steve Brine serves on the powerful Digital, Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee in the 2019-2024 Parliament.

It's job is to scrutinise the work of the Department and its Ministers led by Nadine Dorries MP as well as hold inquiries into current subjects in the area.

So far this Parliament the Committee, Chaired by Solihull MP Julian Knight, has looked into:

  • The economics of music streaming
  • The future of public service broadcasting
  • Racism in cricket
  • The national lottery
  • Promoting Britain abroad; and
  • Concussion in sport
