Steve Brine dropped into an afternoon tea party on Friday 19th October, to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now.
Breast Cancer Now’s wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UKand during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, thousands of people ‘wear it pink’ in their communities, schools or work places for Breast Cancer Now.
Since 2002, together Pink events have raised £31.5 million for life-saving research that is working to discover how to prevent breast cancer, how to detect it earlier, and how to treat it effectively at every stage so we can stop the disease taking lives.
Steve Brine, who is the Public Health Minister, said: “I was delighted to pop into Serle’s House today and take part in Cllr Elaine Still’s special event, not least in my role as the Cancer Minister. A big thank you and well done to everyone who took part.”
