Steve Brine spoke to members of the Winchester business community on Friday 7th March, as he met with Hampshire Chamber and Winchester BID for their annual Parliamentary Business Breakfast.
The Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP addressed over 40 key city business owners, and led with a full update from the House of Commons, at the Mercure Hotel, Colebrook Street.
He was also able to 'take the temperature' from local business, and with the Budget coming up, was able to listen to ideas and thoughts on issues such as business rates.
Speaking on his way to the Reducing Reoffending Conference, Steve said: "This annual event is very important for me, and it is always great to be able to discuss business over bacon and eggs. I was able to project a national picture to local businesses, and talk about positive messages such as the news on growth and employment.
"As ever, the most valuable thing for me is in being able to gather the feedback and pass on to my colleagues in the House, and as we are now jsut a matter of days away from George Osborne's Budget, this morning was incredibly useful."
