Steve Brine dropped into a fascinating local business in Headbourne Worthy on Monday 22nd July, as he visited Church Paddock Fishery.
Tucked away in Bedfield Lane, the MP met with the team to discuss what the business has to offer anglers, as well as the challenges of managing the fishery in all weathers.
Church Paddock derives its name from nearby St Swithun's Church. It is believed to be the oldest Saxon church in Hampshire, and was dedicated to St Swithun the Bishop of Winchester who died in 862.
Speaking afterwards, on his way to Summer Tour in Kings Worthy, Steve said: "It was useful to drop in and learn about this small business as well as to hear about their (as yet unfulfilled) ambitions to grow and develop the business. I wish them well for the future."
