Steve Brine paid a visit to Winchester Hospital this morning and took time to meet staff on the maternity and labour wards.
The MP also met up with Chief Executive, Alex Whitfield, to speak about this week's new hospital programme announcement and the plans for a new build hospital between Winchester and Basingstoke.
Steve says; "I visit our hospital very regularly and always fit in a clinical visit, to speak with staff and patients, as well as the Trust leadership. It was really nice to catch-up with the team in Florence Portal House where all was calm and the team seemed very relaxed.
"There's so much to do around the new build but that is sometime off now. I just wanted to stay abreast of the issues and compare notes with HHFT further to various meetings in the House this past week and, of course, the statement from the Secretary of State yesterday."
