The Guildhall held a glamorous black tie ceremony on Friday 13th June, as the city's enterprise community came together to celebrate the Winchester Business Excellence Awards 2014.
The very best of local business talent was out in force as the contribution of small and larger sized businesses to the Winchester economy were recognized at the event, which was organised in association with Denplan, the Hampshire Chronicle, Hampshire Chamber of Commerce and the BID.
Winchester MP Steve Brine was among those on hand to present the awards, with a range of entrepreners and organisations among the evening's big winners.
One of those recognized was Stephen Northam, with SN Technologies winning the University of Winchester Entrepreneur of the Year Award, while the Denplan Business of the Year Award was picked up by Upham Brewery Company.
The Winchester City Council Carbon Smart Business of The Year Award was won by Holiday Inn Winchester, while Winchester Cathedral walked away with the Winchester BID Commitment to the City Award. The Breeze Award for Service Excellence was picked up Woodhams Farm Day Nursery, and The Hotel Du Vin Best Winchester Food Experience went to Josie's, a coffee shop based in Bishops Waltham.
Finally, the 1-1 Recruitment Award for Small Business of the Year went to The Natural Travel Collection, and Adrienne Marsden's Business Collective Corporate Social Responsibility Award was won by Osborne Property Services.
Steve Brine said: "This is a real highlight of the year for me, and once again I was blown away by the amount of creativity and talent we have here in Winchester- alongside, of course, sheer hard work.
"All my congratulations go to those who picked up gongs, and my thanks to all of those who supported the event by sponsoring the awards."
