Volunteers at the Badger Farm vaccination centre have been rewarded after administering more than 60,000 jabs.
Members of the team were invited to a ‘thank you’ event where they each received a generous John Lewis voucher.
This came towards the end of second jabs and the possible start of the Autumn booster programme for vulnerable groups.
Local MP Steve Brine said the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation should issue an update on the boosters soon; "The NHS has a long history of partnership between its staff and its volunteers," he said.
"We just couldn’t have done this, while maintaining any form of normal service, without these wonderful helpers. We’re all hugely grateful to them and this was an important moment to say thank you."
