Steve Brine visited a packed Freshers' Fayre at the University of Winchester on Saturday 20th September as the MP welcomed thousands of students to the city's university.
He linked up with the Winchester Student Conservative Society, who had a busy stand which was inundated with students throughout the day. The Conservative group is the only political party society on campus, and the team were on hand to answer questions and sign up new members, as well as simply give a few pointers to new students about life at the University.
Steve said: "The Students' Union organised a really good event this year, and while we are the only political party society with any form of presence on campus, it was so great to see so many youngsters with an interest in politics wanting to get involved. The student team, led by third year student Jonny Scowen, were fantastic. They have really built up some momentum over the past few years, and it is such good fun working with them on campus and across the constituency."
