Steve Brine joined Councillor Jamie Scott, Councillor Caroline Horrill (leader of WCC) and the Mayor of Winchester in Stanmore on 4th March, as he opened new council housing in Bailey Close.
The Winchester MP cut the ribbon and said Winchester City Council should be proud of the choices they were making when it came to housing local people.
Steve Brine said: "I was delighted to come to Stanmore today and open this excellent new development. I've had the privilege over the years of opening a number of high quality council home developments right across the Winchester district.
"This is a Conservative council, well led by Councillor Caroline Horrill, with absolutely the right priorities and I'm sure the new residents will settle very nicely into their new homes."
The event took place as building work began over the road on The Valley which will provide a further 76 homes for the area.
