Local MP, Steve Brine, has welcomed a new pop-up Covid vaccination hub in Winchester.
The new centre is located on the Park and Ride South Car Park – by Junction 11 of the M3 - and is operated by Pharmacy2u in partnership with the NHS.
The unit opened a couple of weeks ago and has continued to welcome both appointments and walk-in for local people seeking a booster or even first dose of the vaccine.
Mr Brine has campaigned hard for more walk-in capacity in Winchester; raising the issue several times in Parliament including with the Prime Minister.
After visiting the site, the MP said; “It was so good to see this facility up and running. We have to do everything possible to try and get the final 15% boosted and even encourage those who’ve so far declined the vaccine to come forward.
“This is a great site. No wait and easy parking right there.”
The centre will next be open on Thursday 3rd and Friday 4th February from 8am to 8pm.
