Steve Brine MP dropped into Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital for a visit and catch-up with the Hospital Director, Thelma Henderson.
The MP dropped into the Chandler’s Ford Hospital to meet and thank staff and hear about their role in tackling the covid backlog.
Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "We are very fortunate to have Nuffield Health Wessex here, as it forms an important part of our local health economy. It is clear to me that the relationship between NHS and the private sector in this part of Hampshire is being managed well to get people the treatment they need on the NHS. We have to use all available capacity to tackle the backlog. I am very grateful to Thelma, the Hospital Director, for taking the time to brief me on their latest updates and future plans."
Thelma Henderson, Hospital Director at Nuffield Health Wessex Hospital, added; “I enjoyed meeting Steve and valued our discussion about how we can continue supporting the evolving healthcare needs of people within our local community. During the Covid pandemic, we responded to the needs of vulnerable NHS patients, working with the NHS Trust and our local healthcare partners to shield them from the risks of Covid. We remain committed to helping the NHS and our local healthcare partners, providing fast access to our hospital services to anyone who needs them.”
