The Environment Secretary has given his backing to a growing campaign aimed at tackling single-use straws in Winchester.
Michael Gove met up with Steve Brine on Wednesday 25th April to hear more from the Winchester MP about Michele Ingerslev's Final Straw Winchester campaign, and having heard the story, was delighted to give the project his backing.
Steve Brine said: "Two weeks ago I met Michele and discussed her fantastic project with her, and as I have said before, we hit it off right away.
"We'll be working together a lot over the coming months, and I was thrilled that Michael Gove gave us his support as I spoke to him about plastic straws and the wider single use plastics agenda."
