Alresford's very own Little Village Sweet Shop has some exciting times ahead after it announced plans for expansion across the UK.
Run by husband and wife team Shaun and Julia Parris, Little Village Sweet Shop has been a popular fixture at Winchester's Cathedral Christmas market, selling UK produced confectionery that is free from artificial colours and flavours, and after 3 successful years, Shaun met with Alresford MP Steve Brine to discuss their plans.
Shaun said: "I met up with Steve in Caracoli as part of his Alresford Day, and was thrilled to be able to tell him more. We have been so successful in obtaining stockists, not only locally, but also from further afield thanks to the Christmas market and we are now looking to establish outlets in Alresford and across the UK.
"Steve was able to pass me some excellent advice on government support for small and start-up businesses, and we are really looking forward to the rest of the year."
Steve said: "Notwithstanding my own significant sweet tooth, I really like this little local cottage industry which I first ran into at the Christmas Market. They have a high quality product and are ambitious to grow the business which is to all our benefit.@ Do give them a try is my advice."
