Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP Steve Brine joined local campaigners from across the south in delivering a whopping petition to David Cameron.
On a very wet Wednesday 22nd June, and led by youngsters Aaron Porter and Oliver Diaper, they wheeled 232,733 signatures asking the PM to step in to save the Childrens' Heart Unit at Southampton General Hospital.
As well as taking part in the delivery of the petition, Steve has secured a three-hour debate in the Commons today (Thursday 23rd June).
Having spoken with the PM on Tuesday evening, Steve said: "The Prime Minister told me that he was listening intently to the cases being made. I and other MPs have been bombarding him about this review and he is fully aware of the process and the Southampton problem.
"I am increasingly confident of the impact of this campaign launched by the Daily Echo and the people power behind it.
"Handing in this petition is another stage in telling those conducting the review to think again."
