Steve Brine meets with Guy winners

Steve Brine hosted the winners of the Winchester Round Table guy competition in the House of Commons on Tuesday 13th January.

The MP was asked to judge the guy competition back on Bonfire Night, and the winners were Dylan and Jonah Mathers, who won with their 'Gary Barlow Relight my Fire' guy.

Steve offered the trip to Westminster to Dylan and Jonah, as well as runners-up Finlay & Jasper Harrison and Oliver Michel, and their families joined up with Steve following their tour of the Houses of Parliament.

Steve said: "I was delighted to honour this today, and it was great for them to see the very place that Guy Fawkes really did try to blow up all those years ago!"

Written Answers — Department of Health and Social Care: Breast Cancer: Screening (18 May 2018)
Steve Brine: No estimate has been made to date of the cost to the public purse for compensation for the next of kin of women who may have subsequently died of breast cancer due to a missed scan. Public Health England will be undertaking a case review over the coming months.
