MP attends special Diwali celebration in Parliament

Steve Brine joined a large group of colleagues on Wednesday 26th October as they took part in the Annual Diwali Celebrations in Parliament.

Organised once again by Bob Blackman, the MP for Harrow East, and the Hindu Forum of Britain, the joyous festival was also co-hosted by Virendra Sharma, Caroline Lucas, Nigel Dodds and Angus Robertson.

Speaking afterwards, Steve said: "I was delighted to be able to drop into this wonderful event, which is very much a staple on the Parliamentary calendar.

"This is a very special time for Hindus, and it was great to be invited to take part."
