Steve Brine met up with Margaret Paren, who heads up the South Downs National Park, for a catch up on Friday 4th May.
Speaking after the chat, he said: "A useful chance to catch up with Margaret and important to cover the emerging local plan from the authority and its implications for rural development around housing in particular.
"It was also a chance to follow up on some of the issues around farm diversification as raised with me and the Farming Minister at my recent NFU event. Margaret did not miss the chance to make the point to me that rural broadband continues to blight so many opportunities for businesses operating in the park area.
"It was also a useful chance for me to discuss the proposed scheme for Junction 9 of the M3 and to stress the strategic importance of the badly needed works."
